I admire anyone who can sit simply,
staring off into space, just thinking,
maybe sipping a cup of coffee,
but still quiet, free
of magazines and laptops and people.
I see these strange beasts
in the cafe of my home town
and they are like an unnamed species
moving slightly
at tables other than mine.
